Nostradamus ate my blog post (with apologies to Robert Rankin)
Daughter reckons 1% of readership but I reckon it’s MUCH more obscure than that. I do so need emojis… Sorry I missed last week. The title is my excuse. Given that this is deep in tax return season I had sooooo many appointments and networking events last week I nearly had no time for paying work. Let alone blog posts! And I’m not making any promises for this week or next week either.
Given that blog posting is in my default diary I do seem to treat it as movable (if not expendable).
I think that’s for a number of reasons. The more astute reader will notice that every 4th or 5th episode includes a trip to the osteopath – as will this one – and (to be honest) the time to create a post has gone up from the default time in the diary. So it never fits in the time allowed so you get used to it overflowing its allotted time. So it’s flexible. And flexible means it’s simple to kid yourself you can get it done at some other time.Which I won’t.
I know me all too well and that’s why I put it in the default diary – if not it would likely never, never get done at all… Take today as a “for instance”. Early morning networking meeting 30 miles/c50 kilometres (caught out WordPress spellchecker yet again) north west then client meeting 10 miles/15 kilometres east with a small period of just in case time in between. Then (as you all know) get back to the computer and it wants to do an update – and then reboot. There will be loads of smug Mac users out there laughing at me but I’m too wed to my ways I’m afraid. And then I had to abandon the car in a different street as the council are resurfacing our road. And said road is a cul de sac. Awkward.Osteopathy calls. Back later.
Okay. Back again. I’m told by one of our neighbours that the road WAS closed but there’s no indication any work was done. Musing face emoji. Will see tomorrow if something drastic happens! I’m going to call it a day at this point. Back next week if all goes well, the week after if not. [caption id="attachment_4197" align="aligncenter" width="300"]
