I’ve been an accountant for over forty years and founded Avenue Business Services back in 2002 to handle accounting, payroll, and compliance for small and mid-sized businesses.

Through that work, I realised many clients wanted more than bookkeeping and tax returns — they wanted a trusted adviser who could help them plan, prioritise, and make sense of the numbers. That led me to develop my Outsourced Finance Director service: part financial director, part sounding board, and always focused on what matters most to you.

You’ll find I’m straightforward, pragmatic, and available when you need me. I believe in clear explanations, practical solutions, and giving business owners the confidence to make decisions they won’t regret later.

Who I work with

Most of my clients are owner-managed businesses with turnovers between £100k and £9m, often at a point where things are growing and becoming more complex.

I’ve worked across a range of sectors including:

• Marine software and autopilot systems
• Data management and technology
• Hospitality and education

 

A little about me

A love of travel has shaped much of my life and how I think about business. I’ve never been one to take the obvious route, and that’s helped me find creative, practical solutions for clients. Now based in Spain, I’m always glad to share what I’ve learned with anyone considering a move abroad.

Working from my Spanish town house in the province of Malaga I work a four-day working week, with a bit more time for travel and life’s other interests. That shift has given me fresh perspective on what many clients are working towards -  a better balance between work, life, and financial security.

My role is to help you get there, step by step, with solid financial planning and clear advice.
