Wake up and smell the #covfefe!
No I haven’t got a clue either. Best guess would be pudgy fingers and an overworked autocorrect but your guess is probably as good as mine.
Just thought I’d use the “word of the day” like a million other people to draw attention to MY ramblings – not as many followers as the perpetrator but hopefully more coherent (on a good day at least).
Well I’d like to think so…
Funny old week. Second week after operation and the day length has crept up to nearly 5-5.5 hours per day. I know people with organised lives who do less than that a day and consider it full time!
Just hope my surgeon doesn’t read this.
There’s an interesting thought – built-in obsolescence. All material goods are built to have a finite life – cars, TVs, fridges, phones and the like. I wonder if surgeons do their work with a view to repeat business?
Probably better not to ask.
Still doing the tiredness thing. Have just started the non-stop yawning outbreak here which I KNOW will lead to me attempting to dislocate my jaw in around fifteen minutes time. Or less. Ouch.
Nice Bank Holiday on Monday – weather looked pretty rotten which almost deterred us (me if I’m honest) from going out. Forced ourselves (myself) to do so despite the obstacles – no trains running to Portsmouth Harbour, only one Gosport ferry running so only half a service, leading to missing the WightLink fast cat. Almost gave up at that point but sat down and worked out the timetable again and we just could do what I’d set out to do – visit the steam railway on the Isle of Wight. Pleasant day out – not too cold and the rain just about held off so let’s count that as a win.
Then trying to justify it to myself – I can hear my late mother’s voice berating me – “if you’re well enough to go gallivanting, you’re well enough to go to work…”
Is it just me? Am I the only one? I don’t think so.
The other thing to bear in mind is that it’s easier to delay paying work than volunteering commitments for some reason. Don’t ask me why. So that is how large chunks of Tuesday and today have been spent getting paperwork signed off and put to bed ahead of the AGM for an organisation that I am (unpaid) treasurer. I had my General Manager of this organisation chasing me for whether a return had been filed THREE DAYS after my op (on the Friday) and sending a chasing email the NEXT working day (on the Monday). Had to get the Chairman involved to point out that – if I was an employee – I’d not even have been considered for return to work until at least a fortnight. And maybe not even then.
Even my mother would have been more reasonable.
So the pattern of campaign is no networking until after our week holiday in early-June, which is sensible but also a shame – coz I do enjoy my meetings. I will miss the leisurely mornings though, the ability to pootle around and take my time is really good.
Still, enough for this week. Take one week at a time.
