What a wonderful day (or two)
Becki Houlston. I’ve mentioned her before and I cannot recommend her enough. I’ve even recommended my clients to her. First thing I do is dump ALL the negatives (four paragraphs above plus personal life “complications” just to keep one on one’s toes) berating my lot. That out of my system I’m back on track and we end up considering whether I should learn how to coach as an adjunct to my outsourced finance director persona. So I ask her – who coaches the coaches? – to which the answer was “I do”, which I should have been expecting but, oddly, wasn’t…
So we do some role plays and, interestingly, I’m quite a natural for coaching – thank you for the ego boost, Becki – so we’re going to incorporate this in future sessions, so watch this space…
Even my wife was nice to me – normally this makes me wonder what I’ve done wrong but in this case it seems to have been genuine. If other people are being nice to me maybe it rubs off?
And the this evening – family thing and realising the estate of a deceased relative – the ultimate beneficiaries, both of whom are abroad, are nice to me following a ball park figure of the value of the estate (no inheritance tax issues here, it’s quite scary how quickly care home fees eat into available tax).
Mark my words – no good will come of it (say it in a West Country accent)…
NO – I’m positive here. That’s enough for this week…
