The time you gain from outsourcing should, in theory (and as I preach to clients and prospective clients), give time that you can sell as a better rate to existing and additional customers or clients.
This (obviously) presupposes that that next client is there and waiting.
Therefore there will be an outlay ahead of the additional income.
What happens if the additional income doesn’t come?
Then it’s a sunk cost.
Or what happens if the extra time doesn’t lead to additional client (and prospective client) engagement? It’s all to easy to play another game of Candy Crush (other games are available) and make another cup of tea and all that time is frittered away.
Sunk cost again…
So you procrastinate.
Watch this space!
As we get closer to Christmas (eek – just over a fortnight!) and into the January tax return rush this blogs may become shorter/erratic/go missing dependent on diary pressures so, if it does, I apologise in advance.
