Another session staring at a blank screen
Chambers Dictionary (got to lurv American English – taking over the world one spellchecker at a time). And that last sentence has just screwed my readability score in WordPress. Okay, I’ll get it back with a few short sentences to fool the program (that was exactly the right number)…
Of course I’m no longer staring at a blank screen.
Because I’ve now littered the screen with over 150 words talking about staring at a blank screen. Or going off on a complete tangent. Lack of wistful face emoji. The daughter is presently in the Dominican Republic – lucky girl. I’m stuck here with a series of important but not exactly exciting pieces of work to do and a brain that wishes it was a thousand miles away. I keep saying I’m building a business that I can run from anywhere in the world – just not just yet!I blame the weather.
It’n (amazingly that is a word in the spellchecker, nuck foes what it means but I meant to write it’s so please take it as such) not that old joke that plays on the similar sounding English words weather and whether you’ll be pleased to hear. It’s finally starting to get warmer though not as warm as last month in that typically British way. Makes no sense. But it is overcast and I’m not sure I can remember seeing sunshine for the last week or so. Which makes it not quite as welcoming as one might wish. Osteopath clash week this week so I shall be disappearing in the near future for the delights of being manipulated by Hannah. Not necessarily as interesting as it sounds… And Verdi’s Aida on the radio – pure music to slash your wrists by. So the trip to Hannah will be a welcome diversion.I’m back
And bloody Aida is STILL on the radio. The lowlight of the week (oddly there’s no such word – opposite of highlight? duh – spellchecker again, it is in Chambers) was yesterday’s visit to the hygienist. I have that exceptional clash of:- sensitive teeth
- small mouth (despite what many people might tell you), relative to
- large hands, and
- a pathological dread of dentists following an experience when I was aged about five.
Finally
It’s obviously the weather (again) but I’ve had two missed appointments this week – and one of them was my own PA! The other one they had set the time. And date. Something to do with the equinox and the worm supermoon… Or super worm moon, whichever. But last night was cloudy and so is the forecast for tonight. I’ll be amazed if it’s this good…[/caption]]]>
